Ring in the new year!

Hooray for the Holidays!

We’re so so lucky we have the week off so we are all hanging out with our respective family and friends in various delighfult spots around the USA.
We hope you all are enjoying the holidays too, and haven’t:

a. Eaten too much
b. Fallen out with too many family members
c. Drunk too much mulled wine
d. Sustained any snowman building injuries!

Merry Christmas!

We wish you all a very merry weekend filled with feasting, family and fun!

All our love, Kirby, Kat, Erin & Julie (the PA gals)

Dreaming of lands far away…

We wish you happy and safe travels this holiday season… and lots of naps… naps are the best.

woven play…again

I know I’ve already posted about Wovenplay, but I think they have some of the sweetest photographs and wanted to share them.  I like how they encourage children to imagine, dream and just be kids.

Eno Henze

Aren’t these beautiful? They look like delicate, billowing fabrics. However they are actually computer drawings created by the talented artist Eno Henze. He states: “In this series I try to stress the idea of a drawing that is the result of a collaborative process between me and the machine”.

Under the tree

Some quirky wrapping paper concepts: “fancy” wrap, “sandwich” wrap & ”informative” wrap. In the PA studio, we’re a little more traditional and love to layer neutral and neon tissue paper and dress it up with twine and feathers. Check out the finished product here.

Creator, bien sur!

Over here at Petite Alma, we are on a mission to be THE BEST creators in the universe.  Amen to that sista’!

This is incredible… the technique is known as ‘stippling’ and this particular portrait took 210 hours. Wowzers, Miguel.

Shop ’til you sop

Today we treated ourselves out to a holiday inspiration shopping trip (since we’re starting to work on our 2012 collection already). We hit up all our favs: Blue Tree, Bonpoint, J-crew, Ralph Lauren, Bergdorf’s and Barneys. It was so fun but there’s really only so much frizz, numb fingers and umbrella traffic that a girl can stand, so after lunching at Fred’s, we’re now back at the office eating (the best ever) chocolate covered peanuts. What a wonderful world.
