Colombia: part three
It is blizzardy day in NYC today, so for all you day-dreamers out there, I have some new material for you: El Matuy. What a place. Picture yourself with your favourite book, in a hammock on the porch of your own private wooden bungalow… you could keep on swinging, or you could go and see if lunch is ready (the staff serve three meals a day – usually fish caught that morning), or perhaps move to one of the hammocks on the beach. Decisions, decisions… Seriously though, we were so happy to have stumbled upon this little piece of paradise. We spent three of the most gorgeously relaxing days here, hiking in nearby Tayrona national park (a must-see), taking long beach walks and tubing down rivers. After dinner each night we would spend the evening lazily chatting under trees dripping with candlelight. There is no electricity here – which owner Ernesto, will tell you is by design. Because life is best lived, slow… preferably with sand between your toes.

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR COMMENT
I’m loving that you are visiting the country where I was born, so beautiful, so…
But I’m here in Amsterdam, where is cold, and I miss that tropical weather!
