Wired

I like the quiet fragility of these wire sculptures by Five from the ground, who also specialise in interesting, old, found objects… Browsing their site, I feel like I have stumbled into an attic full of forgotten things.

Playtime!

Yesterday we spent a lovely sunny morning down in Soho at Playtime NY. There were so many lovely people and products and we were so glad to see the event had grown since previous years. A few of our favourite moments included…

Gorgeous outfits by the fabulous Atsuyo Et Akiko; Adorable circus wall stickers by Mae; fabulous products and prints by Lalé; Embroidered cushions and artwork by Coral & Tusk; Beautiful mini furniture by Namhee.

Wooden toys

Just a sneak peek of some cute little wooden friends we will be selling on our e-boutique.  We are hoping to have the store up in 2-3 weeks!  Exciting stuff…

Lego Candy

A friend introduced me to Lego candy the other day and before we gobbled them all up, I managed to snap this photo so I could share this wonderful treat with you guys. They come in a range of pretty pastel colours, and I love the fact that you can actually build with them! You can buy enough to create a small town on Amazon, but if anyone knows where you can buy them in smaller quantities, please let me know…

Little Animals

snoof…
grrrr…
burble…
 snoof snoof…

Look at these loveable little guys created by the rather talented Sian Keegan. They’re all beautifully hand-crafted from thrift store and vintage fabrics and she even teaches classes, so you can make your very own cute little animal…

Alphabeasties and Other Amazing Types

I came across this children’s book the other day and I thought that this was such a great idea for little abecedarians. It was created by By Sharon Werner and Sarah Forss from Werner Design Werks. They have some really beautiful work; I’ll definitely be posting some more of their designs soon! You can buy the book here, or check out more images from the book just here.

DIY Christmas

These gorgeous paper christmas creatures are part of a simple print-and-make-at-home kit available from mibostudio. What a great kids holiday activity! I am absolutely in love with the sleepy little pink thing (i can’t quite work out what it is). It would look cute on my desk all year round…

Rosendahl at Enfant Terrible

I’m crazy about these little wooden animals. They were designed by Kay Bojesen for Rosendahl in 1951 and are made by hand in Copenhagen. They can be purchased on the Enfant Terrible website which has an incredible children’s collection in addition to these little guys.
