omega nyc

I am so excited about the Omega NY conference weekend coming up in NYC.  The Omega Center in Rhinebeck is a place of healing, wellness and growth. Their mission is to awaken the best in the human spirit through innovative education.  I have signed up for Kris Carr‘s lectures for the weekend and can’t wait to soak up all of her juicy knowledge!

Richard III at BAM

I went to see Kevin Spacey play Richard III at BAM the other day, and it was one of the most breath taking performances I have ever seen. In fact the whole cast were just fabulous. The stage production, although minimist was incredibly striking and the music was just phenomenal. If there are any tickets left, I urge you to see it, or at least watch the video so you can see what you’re missing!

Movember

Movember is upon us again… sigh…. and although it may result in some less-than-happy wives and girlfriends, it is a worthy and fabulously-branded cause (check out the website to learn more and donate). Do your best/worst, boys!

Some fun mo-related bits and pieces: Print by Blanca Gomez, Movember Toms slipper, Peppersmith gum, Carl moustache wine & Type-staches.

A subtle celebration

Not to make a big deal of it, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY! We’re all super excited for a fun celebratory day followed by a fabulous cocktail soiree! We’ll be sure to take lots of pics to share with y’all.

I’m loving these fab festive images from A Subtle Revelry‘s online magazine Styled… it’s dedicated to ‘the art of merry-making’. How fun!

DUMBO ARTS FESTIVAL

I hope the rain doesn’t hang around all weekend, because for the next three days DUMBO is going to be a hubub of artists, designers, performers, musicians, dancers, poets and circus artists, all doing what they do best. I’m especially looking forward to Immersive surfaces (tonight, Saturday and Sunday: 8pm – midnight), a video projection installation onto the Manhattan Bridge – it looks awesome!

Work it!

New York fashion week: you may crowd up our favourite restaurants and encourage us to miss our bedtimes consistently on school nights… but we love ya.

Silly Old Bear

I’m so happy Disney has brought out a new Winnie the Pooh film. I love that they have kept everyone’s voices the same and used the old style of animation, although it does look like they’ve nicely mixed in some more three dimensional style animation too… I can’t wait to go see it, I got washed away by nostalgia just from watching the trailer.

Out with a bang!

A spectacular photograph of the Hudson fireworks from TheTrad.blogspot.com found via the ever awe-inspiring blog This Isn’t Happiness. Despite the fact that being English made me the target of many a joke this weekend, I enjoyed the festivities immensely!

Red, white and…

Happy 4th of July weekend everybody!

Bracelet, scarf and pillow from Calypso, Chair from Anthropologie, Clutch from Kate Spade, Illustration from “What On Earth Are You Wearing?“, bikini from Bonpoint and Macarons by Laduree.

jazz lawn party

On Saturday it was the first of this year’s Dreamland Orchestra’s Jazz age lawn Party. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up and dancing and the Saint Germain cocktails were the bees’ knees! These superb photos were taken from last years party from jwoodford35 flickr stream. If you missed the party, they have another set for August 20th & 21st – my one piece of advice would be to take your own picnic!

Love ya, dad.

From all of us kids… xxx

Love ya, mom!

We’re frantically flying about the studio getting all our work done and bags packed and to-do lists ticked, but wanted to wish everybody a very lovely weekend (especially all you mommy’s… you guys are the best). xxx

A royal affair

Perfection. Weddings are the best… happy Friday everybody! Images via NYmag.

Playtime!

Yesterday we spent a lovely sunny morning down in Soho at Playtime NY. There were so many lovely people and products and we were so glad to see the event had grown since previous years. A few of our favourite moments included…

Gorgeous outfits by the fabulous Atsuyo Et Akiko; Adorable circus wall stickers by Mae; fabulous products and prints by Lalé; Embroidered cushions and artwork by Coral & Tusk; Beautiful mini furniture by Namhee.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Gobble gobble gobble

We hope that wherever you are in the world you are having a lovely day and appreciating the people that make it special… (and eating something delicious).

Book worms unite!

Here are some of our favourite moments from the New York Book Fair at PS1, which we visited on Friday. It was such fun! We could have spent lifetimes rifling through everything…

Getting into the spirit

Is everywhere else in America as crazy as New York City in the lead up to Halloween? We’re being accosted by zombies and witches on every street corner! It’s always exciting to get into the spirit of an occasion however, so here is a little tribute (care of Kate Spade.)
