bo peeps lingerie

I wanted to tell you about Bo Peeps, a wonderful lingerie company started by some friends in London.  I have the butterfly sets and I absolutely love them. Beautiful and comfy, soft and flexible with no hooks and closures. You can wear them when you are all dressed up or even to a yoga class- that’s how comfortable they are. No push ups and wires, just soft lace that moves with your body. The underwear doesn’t show a panty line, but still has good coverage for those of you who don’t like thongs. And, they ship to the US, so maybe tell your lover that you’d like some to appear in your stocking!

dazzling details

Back in NYC, fall is in full swing. This time of year is honestly breath taking… the air is crisp, the farmer’s markets are overflowing with sunset-hued produce and New Yorkers begin to cloak themselves in layers of cashmere, silk, wool and leather. Ralph Lauren knows how to do it right – the 2012 fall collection is so sexy, and shows that it’s allllll in the details.

Go gaga

Everybody here in italy knows and loves Superga – the company has been around since 1911 and is a casual sportswear icon. Their classic lines are now being reinterpreted in all sorts of fun colors, shapes and fabrics. I’m excited to return to NYC and check out their new store! Speaking of which, could Crosby Street get any cooler?

Channeling Capri

Ciao friends! I am currently blogging from the gorgeous Amalfi coast, where I have been eating, swimming, exploring, soaking up the sun and collecting great travel tips (which I shall share soon enough). In the meantime, here are some oh-so-italiano pieces for you…

1. Cute vespa helmet 2. Gorgeous print 3. Swatch watch 4. Retro bikini 5. Pocket espresso to-go (so good!) 6. Stylish scarf

‘Tis the season to…

It’s just about time to bust out those holiday frocks and too-high pumps, ladies! Oh, what fun!

Uptown Girls” by Myrtle Quillamor

Puddle stompin’

Well… I must have jinxed us all in my last post because the weather is AWFUL today… so grey and dreary. Time to bust out the wellies and slickers!

Umbrella by Jean Paul Gaultier & Guy de Jean, water-resistant Postal Co notebooks, sparkly Zowie scarf, Burberry sateen trench, yellow wellies and tweed socks… mmm… cuddly…

Chic sketches

I was introduced to the talented Richard Haines after J-crew featured his sketches of their fashion week presentation. His blog is definitely worth a look and full of all sorts of lovely fashionistas and mistas and is so beautifully messy, casual and in-the-moment.

Animal prints, earthy tones, jungle vibe and sunburned faces. Michael Kors.

Work it!

New York fashion week: you may crowd up our favourite restaurants and encourage us to miss our bedtimes consistently on school nights… but we love ya.

Pictures via NY mag. In order: Burberry Prorsum, Sass & Bide, Valentino Couture, Elie Saab Couture, Christian Blanken, Matthew Williamson, Jonathan Saunders, Carolina Herrera, Elie Saab Couture, Ralph Lauren, Diane Von Furstenberg & Burberry Prorsum (click to enlarge to see the gorgeous details)

Garance

I may have already blogged about Garance Dore, if so, sorry for the repetition, but she’s just so stinkin’ talented.  Her sketches get me every time.  Not to mention, all of her posts make me laugh.  I love how she makes fun of herself and doesn’t try to be perfect.  So happy she moved to NYC!

the mashburns

I was in Atlanta and stopped by one of my favorite stores, Sid Mashburn.  It is the most handsome and put together men’s store I know of.  I love the way it feels- tailors out on the floor perfecting custom suits, vintage records, ping pong table- it just makes you want to live there.  I also love his wife’s shop around the corner, Ann Mashburn.  What a talented duo!

Matta pom pom scarves

I love the lightweight cotton/silk blend scarves from Matta.  Great neutrals and fantastic brights.  Can’t decide between the coral and the charcoal

jazz lawn party

On Saturday it was the first of this year’s Dreamland Orchestra’s Jazz age lawn Party. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up and dancing and the Saint Germain cocktails were the bees’ knees! These superb photos were taken from last years party from jwoodford35 flickr stream. If you missed the party, they have another set for August 20th & 21st – my one piece of advice would be to take your own picnic!

A royal affair

Perfection. Weddings are the best… happy Friday everybody! Images via NYmag.

Parisian Chic

Continuing with our theme… we’re loving this new book by Parisian supermodel Inès de la Fressange. It’s full of lovely little pieces of life/wardrobe/style advice. I especially love the photographs of herself and her effortlessly beautiful daughter, Nine (above, modelling must-have pieces.) ‘Cool’ just runs in the family, apparently…

A world of white

Today we’re day dreaming of sun on our faces and sand between our toes… and although Summer still seems a very long way off, our March feature of the month, dreamy fashion label Loup Charmant, is helping keep reality at bay. Happy Friday everybody!

Gowns galore

Some gorgeous glittery moments from last night’s Academy Awards…

Fifi fashion

As per usual, Fifi has taken the season in stride and is staying warm, cosy and fabulous… dressed above in Marc Jacobs, Lacoste, Aquascutum, Sonia Rykiel, Chloe and Burberry… sigh…
