woven play…again

I know I’ve already posted about Wovenplay, but I think they have some of the sweetest photographs and wanted to share them.  I like how they encourage children to imagine, dream and just be kids.

tiny dancers

I’m in love with this precious photo.  How sweet are these tiny dancers with their skinny little bodies?  I love the one in the back right- such drama!  Found it on that minx blog.

A subtle celebration

Not to make a big deal of it, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY! We’re all super excited for a fun celebratory day followed by a fabulous cocktail soiree! We’ll be sure to take lots of pics to share with y’all.

I’m loving these fab festive images from A Subtle Revelry‘s online magazine Styled… it’s dedicated to ‘the art of merry-making’. How fun!

Joyful, as his suns are flying

I just discovered the wonderful world of Sebastiaan Bremer and it’s magical!

Colour of the week…

It’s been a rather gloomy, drizzly week here, however we’ve quite enjoyed soaking up our new favourite colour from the studio window… isn’t this particular hue stunning? I’d like to turn it into a dress…

Henry Leutwyler

I love the campaign for the New York City Ballet.  What captivating photos, what beautiful dancers!  All photographed by the talented Henry Leutwyler.

Dreamscapes

Some weekend/daydream inspiration from Cheryl Maeder

The perfect afternoon…

On Tuesday afternoon, we took a fabulous 2 hour cruise around Manhattan on the most lovely sail boat, followed by a wander through the Meatpacking District and down The High Line. It’s so nice to pause every now and then, soak up sun and all that surrounds you… isn’t summer grand?

mary ellen bartley at ruby beets

I visited Ruby Beets in Sag Harbor this past weekend and stumbled upon these beautiful photos by Mary Ellen Bartley.  I always feel so peaceful when I’m walking, sitting, reading on the beach, so I was thinking how nice it would be to bring a bit of the ocean into my home.  I just can’t decide on which one…

Mr. Smith

What exquisite, strange and enchanting photographs by Rodney Smith

Monday escapes…

Some beautifully calming places and spaces from Maisons Coté Sud

April hues

Right now in the studio we are working on so many different collections (holiday cards, wedding suites, party invitations and more…) as well as gearing up for our big trip to Paris (NEXT SUNDAY)! Needless to say, we’re feeling excited and emboldened and are finding inspiration in unexpected places. Like these beautiful polaroids by photographer Grant Hamilton… they feel like long sunny evenings by the Seine…

Hoppy Easter

Need I say more! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend…

petite animals

Here at Petite Alma we adore tiny things, especially tiny animals – they’re just sooo cute. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites to share with you this morning, and if can’t tear your eyes away from these chaps… then just wait until Friday!

Circus star

We LOVE Ms. Witherspoon and were thrilled to see her on the new Vogue cover today. What a doll (and what a shoot! Watch behind the scenes.)

Une icône parisien

Just to warn you, this is the first of a slew of Parisian themed posts – we’re just so excited… I love the girl in the dress and want to be sitting exactly where she is.
